I have been joking around the last few years that what the Mayans had predicted was a solar flare that happens once every 10,000 years or so. It seems to be not as funny lately now that satellites are going to be falling from the sky. The sun has become ever more active at the height of this 6 year cycle that is at the height of another 100 year cycle. Please note our interpretation of the Mayan date has a leeway of around 60 days so there is no need to hide under your bed this Christmas.

I do however find it entertaining how naive people can be about our recent way of life and its perpetuation. We stopped playing in the mud around ten thousand years ago (according to popular belief) and have only as of late discovered the wonders of modern technology. In all you are looking at less than 1% of our over all existence being "advanced" and we tend to think that we are so far from what we have been in past. I assure you that is not the case and a giant solar flare might just be the worst type of reality check possible. 

At our current state we have giant population centers dependant on electricity for survival via the refrigeration of food. A study was once done to see how far people would regress after a few days without food. After 3-4 the average do good-er was stealing and around 11-12 were willing to kill another individual in order to survive. Not that I am shaming the results, the brain will make any changes or justifications necessary to keep the organism alive.

I consider hurricane Ike the short preview of what life without the grid would be like and after around a week you could feel the uncertainty in the air. People started to consider the options they had with the food in the freezers melting and the last bit of charge on their phones dying. Not saying I enjoyed the whole experiance myself but it was nice to see the stark contrast from on to off and how fragile our way of life really is. 

My advice? None really, was never a big fan of the Y2K type situations and have decided not to be in the field of making predictions. I am however always up for the what if's of the world and this outcome seems more and more likely as of late due to the recent events. So that being said, "if" this does go down as predicted by the Mayans, here are a few tips. One being to avoid those giant cannibalistic population centers, if you happen to be stuck just don't be the only one on the block with a light on at night. Second would be to plant corn or any type of seed you could find, seems the timing would provide us enough time to get by til that first harvest. Chances are our society would just collapse in this event given that its on the fringes of anarchy already and we have long since left any resemblance of community. I wont count out us all coming together to get things back up and running but the every man for themselves situation just seems more likely. 

Bottom line is to not let the ego convince you things will always be the same as they are now, history provides us with a much different story if you pay attention with an open mind. Our existence means as a species we can survive these type of events but your own survival is up to you. Please note that the recent way of life is only a fraction and no where near a constant, you have been warned. Muhuahahuaha!

p.s. it would take around only 100 million dolars to boost our grid to handle this...

I hate to be the captain of the obvious but governments sole goal is to control your mind. "but how can this be true?" you ask, simple really just break the word down a bit and see what we can come up with...

mentis(latin) : mind, thought, intention, intellect.

Not sure what people expect from such an establishment and am a bit confused over how much of a suprise it is to some. Best advice I can give is to not expect the solution to come from the problem, the governments answer to government will always be government and we need something more along the lines of liberty. 

Please dont confuse me with an anarchist, there are genuine sociopaths(about 1% of the population) out there that one does need protection from and we should have a system in place to deal with that. This initial issue in society is easily dealt with in a common law. Simply stating you can not hurt anyone or deprive them of property. I would be fine with living in a world like that, do what you please as long as I am not injured or deprived of property. 

Simply stated the mind control has gotten a bit out of hand and the latest venture of SOPA is making that clearer than ever. The government clearly feels threatened by the Internet and I can see why, the only time they are mentioned in a positive light is if the url ends in .gov and even then its spotty at best.   

To finish things SOPA wont pass and I know that because Google is against it and I know for a fact the government is more afraid of Google than Hollywood.

I did enjoy bringing the site down in protest, and trust that if by some chance it does go through this site will be the first to get the axe...

I have a lot of people I know using neti pots these days and I just wanted to give a heads up. Now, I admit that I loveancient Egyptian technology as much as the next person but there are some certain precautions that need to be taken when using them with our modern day water system. Turns out a couple people have died from brain eating amoebas in the water supply while using their neti pots. Very tragic indeed and could have been prevented with a table spoon of salt. 

Louisiana State Epidemiologist, Dr. Raoult Ratard. says; "Tap water is safe for drinking, but not for irrigating your nose."

I will agree with the last part of that, the first part not so much. I am also wondering how you can admit to brain eating amoebas being in the water supply and say its fine to drink in the same sentence. I would also make the wager that Dr. Ratard(ironic) does not drink Louisiana State tap water. That doesn't mean he is aware that the majority diseases that his profession is paid to treat could be prevented by truly clean water. Maybe if they put as much effort into finding causes as they did symptom treating western medicine might not be such a joke.

  If you have made your way to this blog post you must be as frustrated as I am with trying to merge your facebook pages or places that are too far apart. While attempting to merge a place page and a fan page I ran into a major snag that seemed to have no solution. The issue I came across was that the location to the fan page had a marker in Columbus Ohio when our actual location was near Dayton Ohio. I updated the address several times and could not get the marker to move to the right location. I made attempts to contact both Facebook and Bing and after several months have gotten no response from either. 

On to the solution...

I simply set the fan page to "has no physical address" under the drop down for street address. Then simply merged the place page with the no location fan page and poof, problem solved. In the variations of this situation if your marker is not in the right location for your fan page, create a place page with the right one and just merge the two. Luckily I have a work email and claiming has been a non issue as of late, they have been approving all of my requests within a week or so.

2012 eh..? I know you are thinking the same thing I am, this is it right..? I am not going to sit here and say that it is or isnt based on my vased research, nor that a solar flare similar to the one of 1859 wont wipe out the power grid for several years. My only advise it to treat it like it is, but you should have been doing that with every day anyway. More so now than ever I do see the world at a tipping point and I know we are not living in a perpetual state where the lifestyle and frame of thought is sustainable for much longer. The only thing keeping this false ideology alive at this point is lies, deciet, denial, and at times just good ol brute force. Luckily with the technology that exists and more that is being developed in only a matter of moments an individual can spread a message globally with little to no effort, and at times even unintentionally. We are not at a point in society anymore where people can use the apathy and ignorance to claim "I didnt know". I am optimistic that 2012 will be the year of accountability and not in a political sense but an individual one. If you are looking to the government to fix itself you are far from reality, the ego will destroy everything it has created before giving up control of it. We as a society need to hold our selves accountable and stop purchasing and accepting the lies, deciet, denial, and at times just good ol brute force as our reality... Happy New Year!

In my attempts to solve all of the worlds problems I am noticing just making them known can be more trouble than the solution itself. I came across and analogy of a guy choking in a restaurant recently in which a doctor is present. The point was made that it is the doctors moral and social responsibility to help that individual. I am wondering if the same responsibility lies with me from the knowledge and skills that I have acquired over the years. Is it my duty to help the world from choking to the best of my abilities or just hope someone eventually calls 911?
